Toaster hardware

For those of you who think the Savage Toaster is a figment our overfertile imaginations, here are some pictures showing some actual hardware from the, now not so legendary, beast.

Ancient history - a view of the prototype wooden chassis.

Chassis - Side view.

Chassis - Front 3/4 view.

Kevlar/fiberglass hybrid mat - appropriately enough a 'sandwich' construction for the shell. The final version will probably also include a carbon-fiber layer.

Prototype shell - this has yet to be painted, because we still need to make a master mould from it. This one was cast from a painstakingly hand-built wooden mould, which, sadly, didn't survive the heat of curing, and the removal of the shell.

New Carbon-reinforced shell with old one behind.

Victor regulator with high-pressure hose.

Front spikes.

Stabber ram.

Latest internal layout- weapon arm and lifter rams not attached.

Toast!

Team Toaster - left to right: Richard, Lex and Stuart. The team get strange and twisted after an evening spent eating far too much toast.
